We welcome Dr. Bingquan Zhang who just joins us from the Netherlands! He has worked on techno-economic and spatially explicit analysis of potentials of biomass resources including energy crops from marginal land and agricultural residues for bioenergy production in China. He also has research on optimization of bioenergy supply chain by using a mixed-integer linear programming model. The results from his work provide spatial and temporal insights into the technical and economic potentials of bioenergy in China considering environmental issues for policy development and decision makings, and propose suggestions for strategic design of sustainable biofuel supply chains.
