We welcome Dr. Kai Lan and Dr. Na Wu who join the Yao Lab as Postdoctoral Scholars.
Dr. Kai Lan obtained his Ph.D. in Forest Biomaterials from North Carolina State University, and he has been working on life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis for sustainable wood-based products and biofuels. He is interested in systems analysis, dynamic modeling, and innovative approaches to understand the carbon implications of bioeconomy.
Dr. Na Wu got her Ph.D. in Agricultural and biological engineering at the University of Florida. In an interdisciplinary way, Na conducted her research in techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment of bio-based products including bio-based energy, chemicals, and materials. She is interested in data-driven research such as process simulation, system analysis, and quantitative methods, which can assist in sustainability-focused decision-making.
